Former UK based-Nigerian Afrobeat artist, Naira Marley ( Azeez Adeshina Fashola) Born in Agege, Lagos, but moved to Peckham at the age of 11 is in no doubt one of the biggest artists in Nigeria at the moment.

Marley started receiving worldwide attention after releasing  2018’s Issa Goal with Olamide and Lil Kesh. One track that gave Naira Marley more career boost most especially in the UK is  “JOWABAYI” a track released on 2nd February 2018 by another talented  Nigerian born Afrobeat Artist, DAMIBLIZ also from Peckham, Southeast London.

The song became an instant hit that, Marley could not help but requested to be featured in the remix which skyrockets a newly formed Peckhamhood relationship between the two artists but surprisingly, things did not go as expected In February 2020, when Marley performed his first solo concert live in the UK at London’s O2 Academy Brixton, he actually performed the hit single, solo without inviting Damibliz on stage.

DAMIBLIZ was a Guest on DJ MIND GAP INSTAGRAM LIVE SHOW  and this was his response in the video below when asked about the incident.

Could it be an honest oversight or another musical rivalry looming?
