Meanwhile in response to the situation the Home office admit that they can verify to the fact that she is now legally married to Robert but the UK immigration law states that any foreign nationals who are given a custodial sentence will be considered for removal and any foreign criminal who is sentenced to 12 months or more imprisonment must automatically be subject to deportation.
Robert who is pleading with the Home office to have a rethink on the decision to deport Chimezie, claiming his young family will be thrown apart if she’s deported back to Nigeria and he has already spent a lot of money on immigration lawyers to make sure his wife is not taken away from the family.
